Amphenol RF specializes in connectors that are used in basic measurement instruments, such as an Oscilloscope, a Manual Bench Power Supply, and high performance test and measurement instruments. This general grouping covers component testing, computing and networking, design validation instruments, spectrum analyzers and more. These instruments require precision RF components manufactured to be highly reliable with very repeatable performance
Network analyzers create a large portion of the instrumentation market segment. They are used to determine RF characteristics in various electrical systems, and are very widely used in RF as well as microwave applications for the measurement of circuits scattering parameters. While network analyzers are used mostly at high frequencies; special types of network analyzers can also cover lower frequency ranges down to 1 Hz. These can be used for example, for the measurement of audio and ultra-sonic components. There are two main types of network analyzers. Scalar network analyzers measure amplitude properties only, while vector network analyzers measure both amplitude and phase properties. These systems consist of both a network analyzer and sometimes also a multi-port test set. The network analyzer integrated radio frequency source with built in couplers, which is used for signal separation, as well as a narrow band receiver, a processor, and a display.
Technologies Supported
Vector
Network Analyzer- a
network analyzer which measures
both amplitude and phase properties. It consists of a sweep oscillator, a test set which includes two ports, a control panel, an information display, and an RF cable or two to hook up your DUT. Each port of the test set includes dual directional couplers and a complex ratio measuring device. Spectrum Analyzer- Spectrum analyzers are very often used to measure the frequency response, noise and distortion characteristics of all kinds of RF circuitry, by comparing the input and output spectra. Handheld/Portable
Cable & Antenna Testers-
This is a hand-held field device,
and is both cost effective and
easy to operate. It is suited
for installation and maintenance
of wireless service (GSM/CDMA/3G/PHS/WLAN),
military communications, Agilent,
and radio links.
