    Amphenol RF is pleased to offer the SMA Quick-Connect adapter, a straight jack to straight plug configuration, as part of our broad portfolio of coaxial adapters. This precision machined 50 ohm adapter allows for quick and easy mating with all existing threaded SMA jack and plug connectors.

    The SMA Quick-Connect adapter easily converts any standard SMA Plug test cable into a Quick-Connect cable without compromising the electrical integrity of the assembly. This adapter maintains the same high quality coupling that customers expect from a threaded interface. In addition, the unique push-turn thread on, pull off style of coupling used by this SMA adapter does not require any tooling for mating or unmating.

    Utilizing this Quick-Connect adapter together with your existing SMA Plug test cable reduces the time and effort involved in the testing process while at the same time extending the life expectancy of the test cable.

  • AMPHENOL RF EXPANDS VERSATILE SMP PRODUCT SERIES

    New SMP bullet adapters and straight cable plug give engineers more options for blind mate, cable-to-board applications.

    Amphenol RF is pleased to announce the expansion of the SMP product line – a high-frequency, subminiature board-to-board solution – to include several new bullet adapters and a straight cable plug. This connector series is designed for blind mate applications with a variety of board spacing and package size requirements.

    The additional SMP bullet adapters feature a straight plug to plug (with female, socket contacts) in-series configuration and are available in lengths of 6.45, 6.96, 9.90, 13.16, 14.5 and 22.4 mm. These 50 ohm bullets are constructed with gold plated beryllium copper and are designed to compensate of both radial and axial misalignment.

    The new straight cable plug is optimized for RG-178 and RG-196 cable and joins the previously released right-angle version. This connector features the popular push-on coupling style.

    The SMP series operates at DC to 26.5 GHz making this product family ideal for applications that require a high data rate transmission, such as broadband, instrumentation and telecommunications applications.

    AMC4Amphenol RF introduces new AMC4 PCB jack connector - a micro-miniature interface 1.0mm smaller than standard AMC - ideal for IoT applications with space constraints.

    Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce the small form factor AMC4 connector series. This micro-miniature product series features the popular push-on coupling design and is ideal for IoT applications which require space efficient, economical designs.

    The AMC4 PCB jack connector offers excellent electrical performance from DC to 6 GHz and operates at 50 ohms. This precision stamped and formed connector is designed to mate with the previously released AMC4 jumper and is interchangeable with both the I-PEX MHF4 and Murata HSC connectors.

    The AMC4 connector is currently the smallest connector in the Amphenol RF portfolio. It shares a similar footprint with the previously released AMMC connector and offers all the same benefits as the AMC interface, but in a more compact package size.

    2.2-5 connector series

    Amphenol RF releases lightweight and robust 2.2/5 product series, ideal for wireless infrastructure in indoor and outdoor applications.

    Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce the new 2.2/5 connector series. This interface is a compact version of the previously released 4.3/10 connector series with a footprint that is 53% smaller. This connector series is lightweight and can accommodate thick, low loss cables up to a half inch. The robust design makes these connectors ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

    The 2.2/5 connector series is designed the meet the needs of applications which require low PIM in order to avoid interference in network quality during high-speed data transmission. These connectors offer flexibility in installation with the ability to blind mate and are IP-68 rated in the mated condition. This allows for prolonged exposure to the elements without compromising the performance.

    2.2/5 connectors are precision machined with a brass body and a beryllium copper contact. They are ideal for wireless applications such as small cells, mobile networks, distributed antenna systems (DAS), low power base stations and in-building architecture, and are critical to 5G communication technology.

  • REACH FURTHER WITH NEW 12G ADAPTERS AND CABLE-MOUNT CONNECTORS

    Amphenol RF releases new 12G SDI adapters and cable-mount connectors designed for use with Canare L-5.5CUHD and additional Belden cables, ideal for broadcast applications.

    Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce the latest expansion of our 12G product line designed specifically for 4K/Ultra-HD broadcast applications. This expansion features additional adapter configurations and cable mount connectors for Canare L-5.5CUHD and Belden 4694P, 4731R, and 4731P cables.

    The most recent additions to our 12G adapter line includes both in-series and between-series configurations: BNC plug to BNC plug, HD-BNC Jack to HD-BNC Jack and HD-BNC Plug to HD-BNC Plug. Each adapter operates at 75 ohm with a maximum frequency of 18 GHz. These adapters are precision machined with brass bodies and gold plated brass or beryllium copper contacts.

    Cable mount connectors designed for use with Canare L-5.5CUHD and optimized for 12G SDI applications are also available. These connectors are available in both BNC and HD-BNC options that offer excellent electrical performance through 12 and 18 GHz, respectively.

    In addition, Amphenol RF has expanded its 12G offerings on Belden cables to include BNC and HD-BNC configurations designed for 4694P, 4731R and 4731P cables. Like their Canare counterparts, they operate at 75 ohms with maximum frequencies of 12 and 18 GHz, respectively.

    These adapters and RF cable-mount connectors join what is already the broadest portfolio of 12G optimized products on the market currently.

  • DESIGN COMPACT IOT DEVICES WITH MICRO-MINIATURE AMC4 CONNECTORS

    Amphenol RF is excited to introduce the small form factor AMC4 connector as part of an SMA cable assembly line. This assembly features the popular SMA bulkhead jack connector and the newly minted AMC4 plug connector on 1.13mm cable. The SMA to AMC4 cable assembly is ideal for IoT applications which require space efficient, economical designs.

    These SMA to AMC4 cable assemblies offer excellent electrical performance from DC to 6 GHz and operate at 50 ohms. The new configuration is available in straight jack to right-angle plug and in standard metric lengths of 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, and 0.30. Custom lengths are available upon request.

    The AMC4 connector is currently the smallest connector in the Amphenol RF portfolio. It shares a similar footprint with the previously released AMMC connector and offers all the same benefits as the AMC interface, but in a more compact package size. This 50 ohm connector offers excellent electrical performance from DC to 6 GHz and is interchangeable with both the I-PEX MHF4 and Murata HSC connectors.     Amphenol RF introduces SMA adapters to new 50 ohm product seriesdesigned to integrate HD-EFI into new applications.

    Amphenol RF expands its newly developed HD-EFI product line to include adapters. These HD-EFI to SMA adapters offer additional convenience for customers allowing them to seamlessly transition to this 50 ohm micro-miniature interface.

    HD-EFI adapters are available in smooth bore and limited detent jack, and straight plug configurations. They are designed for excellent mechanical and electrical performance up to 6 GHz with machined brass bodies and gold plated, beryllium copper contacts.

    The HD-EFI series is ideal for blind-mate situations and mating multiple RF lines between printed circuit boards. These connectors are designed specifically to maximize radial and axial float in board to board applications.

  • AMPHENOL RF EXPANDS 12G PRODUCT LINE FOR BROADCAST APPLICATIONS

    12G SDI PCB Jack

    Product line expansion offers customers more options with alternate PCB mounting designs and sealed solutions.

    Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce additional HD-BNC jacks to its already extensive line of 12G products. These products are aimed to support the rapidly growing need for faster processing and more space-conscious broadcast solutions.

    The extended line of HD-BNC Jacks includes PCB and cable mount products in the straight configuration. These 75 ohm 12G-SDI connectors are designed to perform at frequencies up to 18 GHz with the familiar BNC bayonet coupling mechanism, a feature popular with engineers and application designers.

    The new HD-BNC straight crimp cable jack is designed to interact with Belden 4855R and 1855A cables, and has an IP-67 sealed interface. Connector housings are made from machined brass, with beryllium copper outer contacts for secure mating. Jack bodies are designed in plated gold for solderability with center contacts plated gold for maximum electrical performance.

    These 12G products have a variety of applications including remote viewing, digital signage and mobile broadcasting.

  • REDESIGNED TNC CONNECTORS OFFER HIGHER PERFORMANCE ON LOW LOSS CABLES

    Redesigned connectors optimized for Low Loss 195 & 240 cable feature improved grounding features ensuring consistent electrical performance from DC to 6 GHz

    Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce a selection of redesigned TNC connectors optimized for use with Low Loss 195 and 240 cables.  Low Loss cables provide enhanced shielding with a bonded foil construction ensuring 100% coverage.  The connectors feature a nominal impedance of 50 ohms and offer low return loss from DC to 6 GHz.

    The new TNC connectors are available in straight jack, bulkhead jack, straight plug and right angle plug configurations. All designs feature a crimp termination, allowing for quick and secure assembly, and require standard hex crimp tooling.  The redesigned TNC connectors provide consistent electrical performance at high frequencies and feature improved grounding for more stable RF performance.

    Amphenol RF’s TNC connectors optimized for Low Loss cables are ideal for applications requiring high reliability and low signal loss.  TNC connectors can also be found in various industrial, wireless, and broadband solutions.

  • NEW CRASH-PROOF BOARD-TO-BOARD CONNECTOR IDEAL FOR BLINDMATING APPLICATIONS

    Amphenol RF’s HD-EFI product series is designed to maximize radial and axial float in board-to-board applications.

    Amphenol RF is proud to release its newly developed HD-EFI product line. This 50 ohm micro-miniature interface is ideal for blind-mate situations and mating multiple RF lines between printed circuit boards. These connectors are designed specifically to maximize radial and axial float in board to board applications.

    HD-EFI PCB jacks are available in through-hole, surface mount, and edge launch designs. The three-piece mating system uses a limited detent and a smooth bore PCB connector, joined by a floating bullet adapter in between. The generous gathering cone and unique bullet design allows for 1.4mm of axial float, and 1.4mm of radial float, with a maximum float angle of 5 degrees.

    These 50 ohm products have an operating frequency of DC to 6 GHz, making them ideal for high-performance applications with a small package size. The selection of PCB mounts and bullet lengths offer versatility for board launches and PCB stacking configurations.

    HD-EFI bullet adapters are uniquely designed to provide a crash-proof mating, facilitated by the extension of the insulator beyond the adapter body. Used in conjunction with the smooth bore connectors, the mating system allows for easy alignment and a secure connection.
