    Amphenol RF introduces fixed length 50 Ohm HD-BNC cable assemblies as an ideal pre-configured solution for high-performance applications. These lightweight, compact cable assemblies deliver a space conscious option for designers and engineers, at a footprint of 51% smaller than traditional BNC connectors, and allows for four times the density.

    Amphenol RF’s 50 Ohm HD-BNC cable assemblies feature the trusted push and turn interface of a traditional BNC in order to enhance electrical and mechanical performance. This engineer preferred design allows for tactile feedback and a positive lock for quick and guaranteed mating. The new cable assemblies use the same cable prep and termination specifications of legacy connectors making adopting HD-BNC a seamless transition.

    Due to their compact size, 50 Ohm HD-BNC cable assemblies are ideal for high-density applications such as military and industrial.



    Amphenol RF is pleased to offer a comprehensive line of 12G products with the release of several new connector options and the introduction of 12G optimized cable assemblies. These products are aimed to support the rapidly growing need for faster processing and more space-conscious broadcast solutions.

    The extended line of PCB Jacks include straight, right-angle and edge-mount configurations. These 75 ohm 12G-SDI connectors are designed to perform at frequencies up to 18 GHz with the familiar BNC bayonet coupling mechanism, a feature popular with engineers and application designers. This line also includes the introduction of a straight oriented Jack compatible with the Belden 4855R cable.

    The new BNC and HD-BNC straight crimp cable plugs are designed to interact with a variety of Belden cables. Connector housings are made from machined brass, with beryllium copper outer contacts for secure mating. Plug housings and ferrules are nickel plated for durability, and jack bodies are plated tin for solderability. Both have outer and center contacts plated gold for maximum electrical performance.

    Cable assemblies are available in BNC to BNC, HD-BNC to HD-BNC and HD-BNC to BNC straight plug configurations, with options for both Belden 4855R and 4794R cables.

    These 12G products have a variety of applications including remote viewing, digital signage and mobile broadcasting.



    Amphenol RF introduces ANSYS HFSS 3D component models of PCB connectors intended to streamline the design of new products and eliminate the need for physical prototyping.

    Danbury, CT – Amphenol RF is proud to announce the release of their first set of ANSYS HFSS 3D component models. These 3D models are compatible with ANSYS R17, or any newer version of the software, and available exclusively through the company website at no cost.

    The introduction of the 3D model allows the consumer to test a variety of PCB connectors within their design without the need for a physical prototype. These 3D component models are intended to shorten the testing process and afford designers and engineers the opportunity to optimize the return loss performance of their board launch.

    ANSYS 3D component models are currently available for Amphenol RF’s line of SMA High Frequency End Launch Connectors. Additional 3D models are currently in production and will be released forthcoming.

    Amphenol RF expands its coaxial cable assembly offering with a new line of SMPM cable assemblies, ideal for small, high frequency applications.

    Amphenol RF introduces fixed length SMPM cable assemblies as the ideal pre-configured solution for high frequency applications with 50 Ohm impedance requirements. The cable assemblies offer excellent performance up to 20 GHz and are designed for high reliability requirements including military and aerospace applications.

    Amphenol RF’s SMPM pre-configured cable assemblies feature high performance SMPM plug connectors, which are designed to accommodate both radial and axial misalignment in a small package size. The SMPM connectors are terminated to industry standard 0.085 and 0.047 inch hand formable cables. They are available in standard lengths ranging from 3 to 48 inches and metric lengths from 100 to 2000 millimeters to compliment any RF design.

    Due to their high frequency range and compact size, SMPM cable assemblies are ideal for high data rate applications such as broadband communications, instrumentation, and 5G wireless solutions. Their reliability under conditions of radial and axial misalignment also makes them ideal for applications exposed to shock and vibration such as instrumentation equipment, aerospace, and military applications.



    Extensive selection of cable and PCB products

    Danbury, CT – Amphenol RF is proud to announce its SMPM line of high performance products. SMPM interconnects offer high performance in a sub-miniature package, with versatile connectivity options.

    SMPM cable connectors are available in straight and right-angle configurations, for 0.047- and 0.086-inch diameter semi-rigid and conformable cables, as well as RG-178 flexible coax. The connectors are made from beryllium copper or brass with gold plating, for durability of use and maximum electrical performance.

    SMPM PCB connectors are also machined from brass and plated gold for solderability and high-frequency electrical performance. PCB connectors are available in many configurations, including surface mount, through-hole leg, or edge mount terminations. When used in conjunction with SMPM bullet adapters, a minimum PCB spacing of 8.65mm can be achieved, and are ideal for blindmate situations.

    SMPM connectors are designed to operate in high frequency board to board applications up to 65 GHz, or with cable solutions optimized to meet the frequency limits of the cable. SMPM connectors have a snap-on mating style similar to the SMP, and are suitable for a wide range of precision and miniaturized applications including antennas, handheld radios, military communication systems, and instrumentation and measurement equipment.



    Amphenol RF’s 4.3-10 connector series offers excellent, low PIM performance in a smaller, lighter design

    Danbury, CT – Amphenol RF is pleased to offer a full range of 4.3-10 connectors and adapters, which are engineered for the wireless market and are ideal for applications requiring low passive intermodulation, or PIM.

    4.3-10 connectors offer the same, robust design as 7/16 connectors but are smaller and up to 40% lighter, allowing for much more dense, lighter weight applications. These designs are IP-67 compliant to protect against dust and water ingress for outdoor applications, and provide excellent VSWR performance up to 6.0 GHz. Separate electrical and mechanical components yield very stable PIM performance regardless of coupling torque, allowing for easier installation. Silver plated contacts and White Bronze plated bodies offer a high-degree of conductivity, corrosion resistance, and durability.

    The new MCX cable plugs, economically designed for RG-178 (RG-196) and RG-174 (RG-188, RG-316) type cables, are available in both straight and right-angle configurations. Connector housings are made from machined brass, with beryllium copper outer contacts for secure mating. Housings and ferrules are nickel plated for durability, with outer and center contacts plated gold for maximum electrical performance.

    These 50 ohm MCX connectors from Amphenol RF are designed to perform at frequencies up to 6 GHz, with VSWR being 1.10 (max) at 2.5 GHz, measured for right-angle configurations. The MCX, with slide-on coupling mechanism interface, and can be found in many applications including GPS equipment, instrumentation and measurement, handheld radio, and wireless network equipment.



    Amphenol RF’s high-frequency SMA end launch series support performance up to 26.5 GHz.

    Amphenol RF adds versatility to the board to board focused PSMP line.

    Danbury, CT – Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce an expansion to its new PSMP interface. Building upon the flexibility of PSMP board-to-board designs, four new PSMP cable connectors are now available. These connectors are designed for 0.141- and 0.86-inch diameter semi-rigid and conformable cables, providing engineers with choices beyond the current board to board options for this versatile interface.

    PSMP cable plugs are designed to operate in high power applications up to 200 W at frequencies of 2.2 GHz. PSMP connectors have a mating style similar to the SMP interface, and feature gold plated female center contacts and beryllium copper outer contacts plated in white bronze. These materials and finishes ensure a secure mechanical fit and optimize electrical performance.

    PSMP interconnects are suitable for a wide range of applications including base stations, filter units, amplifiers, handheld radios, and testing and measurement equipment.

    Amphenol RF’s low-PIM 4.3/10 series is ideal for space restricted and weight sensitive applications.

    Danbury, CT – Amphenol RF is proud to expand their low PIM adapter product family with the 4.3/10 coaxial interface.  This low PIM interface is ideal for space restricted, high density and weight sensitive applications. The 4.3/10 interface is 40% smaller and 60% lighter than 7/16 DIN while providing superior performance across the board. This translates to more connections in smaller spaces and increased panel capacity while reducing overall panel load.  This highly stable connector series nearly eliminates PIM concerns with a PIM rating of -166dBc. Additionally, due to improved contact design, 4.3/10 can achieve this PIM reliability even with significantly reduced mating torque requirements versus 7/16 DIN products.

    The 4.3/10 adapters are available in between series and in-series configurations and are ideal for field use as well as lab use.  All are sealed to IP67 in the mated condition.  Adapter bodies are machined from brass and plated with white bronze, a nickel free alloy, to prevent unwanted intermodulation distortion.  Male center contacts are machined from brass while female socket contacts are machined from beryllium copper, both with silver plating.

    Excellent return loss from DC to 6GHz makes the 4.3/10 interface ideal for not only today's applications but also future applications requiring increased bandwidth over today’s requirements. All of the advantages of 4.3/10 make it the ideal solution for the needs of the wireless communications industry.
