Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce new MMCX straight and right-angle plug cable 
assembly configurations designed on flexible RG-316 cable into our pre-configured cable assembly 
portfolio. The assemblies are available in bulkhead SMA, TNC, RP-TNC and N-Type straight jack 
interfaces, delivering robust performance when environmental sealing and durability are critical. RG-316 
cable offers excellent electrical performance up to 6 GHz while offering improved shielding and 
temperature resistance. These assemblies are ideal for high-frequency wireless systems and applications 
requiring enhanced reliability in compact designs. 

These cable assemblies are designed to transition from an internal MMCX PCB connection to a rugged, 
threaded external interface in order to enable secure panel-mount connectivity for wireless 
communication modules. By pairing the small footprint of the MMCX interface with sealed, durable 
external connectors, the assemblies support long-term performance. Common applications include GPS, 
Wi-Fi, portable electronics and vehicles-based systems used in agriculture, construction, mining and 
other heavy industrial environments. 

These new MMCX assemblies join a growing selection of pre-configured solutions engineered to connect 
wireless modules to external antennas while providing enhanced environment protection and resistance 
to tampering. These assemblies can be purchased through authorized distribution partners in standard 
lengths from three to 48 inches.

Amphenol RF offers MCX straight and right-angle plug configurations that feature rugged bulkhead SMA, RP-SMA, TNC, RP-TNC and N-Type straight jacks. These assemblies are designed on flexible RG-316 cable which provides high heat resistance, durability and low signal loss, and is ideal for high-frequency RF applications.

These between-series assemblies allow a cable to be connected from outside of a panel where a threaded interface is located. They are specifically designed for wireless communication modules with MCX connectors in the board. The combination of MCX and more robust connectors offers a variety of options for usage. The connectors that are on the outside of the panel are sealed to prevent temporary ingress of water and other fluids. This eliminates the risk of the system being compromised due to external elements.

PFAS-free BNC interconnects utilize PEEK insulators instead of traditional PTFE ones which provides an environmentally friendly solution for system designs. These connectors and adapters serve as drop-in replacements for existing part numbers and deliver the same trusted performance. They are ideal for applications where PFAS restrictions are becoming more prevalent such as commercial kitchen equipment, food processing systems, industrial electronics and broadcast equipment.

PFAS-free BNC connectors and adapters are manufactured with nickel-plated brass bodies and gold-plated brass or beryllium copper contacts to maintain the same durability, reliability and signal integrity customers expect from Amphenol RF. By eliminating PTFE from the interface design, these products align with increasing global efforts to reduce the use of PFAS while preserving the electrical performance required for demanding RF applications.

High-flex FAKRA cable assemblies are designed on durable RG-58 cable and deliver dependable mechanical and electrical performance in demanding applications with repeated movement, vibration and limited installation space. High-flex RG-58 cable supports millions of flexures and features a fine-wire stranded copper center conductor with a tinned copper braid shield for improved flexibility and durability. These 50 ohm cable assemblies offer reliable electrical performance up to 3 GHz and are engineered to maintain consistent signal integrity while exposed to repeated flexing and vibration. Available in a variety of jack to plug, plug to plug and jack to jack configurations, these assemblies feature application-specific FAKRA key code options to prevent mismating. Standard lengths range from 12 inches to 3 meters to support a wide range of automotive, industrial and off-highway equipment applications.
 

Pre-configured 2.92 mm cable assemblies built on durable 0.141-inch conformable cable. Available in a straight plug (male) to straight plug (male) configuration in standard lengths from six inches to one meter, these assemblies are designed for applications requiring reliable high-frequency signal transmission, mechanical stability and repeatable performance. They are ideal for military and aerospace systems, 5G wireless infrastructure, instrumentation and other demanding RF applications.

The 2.92 mm cable assembly features a precision RF interface similar to SMA, utilizing a smaller internal
body diameter and air dielectric to support frequencies up to 20 GHz. Gold-plated stainless steel
connectors are intermateable with SMA and 3.5 mm interfaces while maintaining excellent electrical
performance. The hand formable 0.141" conformable cable offers enhanced mechanical durability,
excellent power handling and stable signal transmission, while providing low VSWR and outstanding
return and insertion loss characteristics.

Pre-configured MMCX cable assemblies support reliable RF connectivity in industrial wireless systems. The expanded portfolio includes MMCX plug connectors in both straight and right-angle configurations that are paired with rugged bulkhead SMA, TNC, RP-TNC and N-Type straight jacks. These assemblies are designed on flexible RG-174 cable which provides dependable electrical performance up to 3 GHz which is ideal for short-distance, lower frequency RF applications.

The between-series design allows for secure panel-mount configurations, enabling seamless transitions
from internal board-level MMCX interfaces to externally accessible threaded connectors. Common
applications include wireless communication modules supporting GPS positioning, Wi-Fi networking and
telemetry systems. Their design also supports integration into vehicle-based systems including
agricultural, construction and mining equipment, where durability and consistent connectivity are
essential. By combining compact, board-level connectors with more robust external interfaces, the
assemblies provide added flexibility for a wide range of deployment scenarios.
