RF Connectors featuring a clamp design are often field installable with minimal tooling. Connectors are secured to a cable using a clamp design that sandwiches the cable's braid between two components that compress when assembled. Semi-rigid (or hand-formable) cable types offer durable, ruggedized construction and are engineered with a solid outer shield. They are often stiffer than other coaxial cables and require bending tools for more flexibility. Hand-formable cable types are flexible, malleable alternatives to more rigid coaxial cables.
