Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce new non-magnetic SMPM bullet adapters into our extensive adapter portfolio. With its specially-engineered design, this adapter is immune to interference from electromagnetic fields, ensuring constant and reliable performance. Equipped with enhanced signal integrity capabilities, this adapter is compatible with our non-magnetic SMPM connectors, allowing for additional design opportunities. Available in lengths from 5.33 mm to 13.3 mm, this adapter joins our robust catalog of SMPM board-to-board solutions. Amphenol RF’s non-magnetic SMPM bullet adapters are engineered for use with Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI), quantum computing, radar systems and GPS applications.
The durable body is made from beryllium copper with 10 microinches of gold plating over 80 microinches of white bronze plating while the contact pin is made from beryllium copper with 30 microinches of gold plating and 80 microinches of white bronze plating. This allows the ruggedized PTFE insulated SMPM adapter to provide dependable, high-frequency performance in harsh environments. These adapters are also available with smooth bore and limited detent compatibility, as detented connectors hold the bullet adapter in place on the board while the smooth bore connector allows for float. The axial misalignment for these adapters is 0.25 mm, while the radial misalignment is 3°.
With a 50 ohm impedance and data transmission rates of up to 65 GHz, these non-magnetic SMPM bullet adapters join a robust offering of SMPM adapters and connectors available as off-the-shelf solutions.
