Broadcast

Amphenol RF has been an industry standard in broadcast connectivity since the invention of the BNC connector by Amphenol engineer Carl Councelman in 1951. With increased bandwidth demands in the entertainment industry such as 12G-SDI and Ultra-4K High-Definition, broadcasters are migrating to support the latest high definition transmissions. Our interconnect solutions for broadcast applications ensure flawless transmission, reliable signal and high-performance.

12G SDI

Ultra High Definition Video (also known as “Ultra HD” or “4K”) offers four times the resolution of standard 1080P HD video. This requires an evolution from traditional interconnect systems that operate up to 3 GHz to a system that can support a data transfer rate of 12 Gbps which requires a max frequency of at least 6 GHz. 12G optimized connectors provide fully intact signal transmission on a single channel.

Amphenol RF is a proud member of SMPTE®.
