Product Compliance Center
At Amphenol RF, we recognize that it is our responsibility to comply with all applicable environmental obligations. This page describes some of the international regulations that apply to our products.
RoHS Policy (EU)
The European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS 2) Directive (2011/65/EU) sets obligations for manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment. Amphenol RF actively reviews the materials used in all components and certifies each product individually.
Certificates of RoHS 2 compliance can be downloaded by submitting a part number on our Product Compliance Search page.
REACH Policy & Statement
Amphenol RF is a supplier of Articles only, as defined by the European Union’s REACH Regulation and is not required to register with the European Chemicals Industry (ECHA). We have engaged in an ongoing survey of our products and vendors to ensure Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) are not present in our products.
The candidate list of SVHCs has been published on the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) website since 28th October 2008 and is regularly updated. Based on these updates, we are continuously reviewing our products to determine if substances included on the candidate list are contained in our products or in a concentration above 0.1 % (by weight).
Please contact us regarding the REACH status of our products.
Conflict Minerals Policy
The ores from which gold, tantalum, tin and tungsten are derived, that come from the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining nearby countries (including Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, The Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia), which support the on-going conflicts in that region, are referred to herein as Conflict Minerals. It is believed that the proceeds of mining Conflict Minerals may contribute to armed conflict and human rights abuses. In support of initiatives to cut financing for this armed conflict and human rights abuses and in compliance with the regulations applicable to publicly traded companies, Amphenol RF has implemented programs and practices that are intended to:
- Confirm with reasonable certainty that the gold, tantalum, tin and tungsten purchased from suppliers and used in products are derived from conflict free sources
- Maintain, as necessary and appropriate, records of supplier verifications for both internal and/or external audit
- Assign internal roles and responsibilities and provide appropriate staff training to manage these programs and practices
- Communicate the Company's efforts, as necessary and appropriate, to stakeholders
Effective March 1, 2007, phase 1 of the China RoHS Order #39 became effective, and is designed to control pollution from electronic information products. Amphenol RF can assist and support requirements from end product suppliers who export EIP into China. Customers unsure of what they must provide with their products into the China market should review the Order #39 as well as the necessary related procedures to acquire a better understanding of the current requirements. Please contact us if you need assistance with the China RoHS status of our products.
Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Modern slavery and Human Trafficking is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. The advent of the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (“CTSCA”) and United Kingdom Modern Slavery Actor of 2015 (“UKMSA”) are a direct reflection of a global effort to address these issues throughout corporate global supply chains. Amphenol RF has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. Slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labor and human trafficking are acts of deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery and trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
