Our Story

In 2016, Custom Cable joined the Amphenol family, adding to its umbrella a powerful partner that specializes in the production of drop-in custom cables, specifically in the fiber optics market. Custom Cable’s online “Punchout” configurator provides customers with the unique ability to completely customize their cable assembly and submit orders at their own convenience, an innovative tool that has been an integral part of Custom Cable’s business model. This provided the groundwork and answer to the question: “What if customers could design their own RF cable assemblies and have them delivered right to their door in about a week?”
 

In early 2018, a partnership and project collaboration between Amphenol RF and Amphenol Custom Cable began with one goal: to merge the specialties from both business units and introduce to the market an easy-to-use online RF cable assembly builder that would give customers full control over the design process, with the end-product delivered to the customer’s doorstep in days – without compromising quality and service standards. And thus, “Project QTC” was born, later branded as QuickBuild RF.

 

QuickBuild RF offers customers access to the widest assortment of radio frequency connectors and cable options in the industry.
