Amphenol RF is pleased to announce the expansion of our emerging PFAS-free portfolio with a variety of BNC connector and adapter options. PFAS-free BNC interconnects utilize PEEK insulators instead of traditional PTFE ones which provides an environmentally friendly solution for system designs. These connectors and adapters serve as drop-in replacements for existing part numbers and deliver the same trusted performance. They are ideal for applications where PFAS restrictions are becoming more prevalent such as commercial kitchen equipment, food processing systems, industrial electronics and broadcast equipment.

PFAS-free BNC connectors and adapters are manufactured with nickel-plated brass bodies and gold-plated brass or beryllium copper contacts to maintain the same durability, reliability and signal integrity customers expect from Amphenol RF. By eliminating PTFE from the interface design, these products align with increasing global efforts to reduce the use of PFAS while preserving the electrical performance required for demanding RF applications.

As regulatory landscapes continue to evolve, these connectors and adapters will help to support future compliance initiative in order to future-proof designs which maintaining compatibility with the existing BNC interface.
